Since the pandemic is global, it has affected tons of people directly or indirectly. International students, who traveled in the hope of better future are hit badly in every countries. In Canada itself a lot of international workers who immigrated as students were laid off from their specific jobs; which costed them a couple of months on their post graduation work permit. Which is also leading to anxiety and depression. 

A post graduation work permit lasts typically from one year up to three years depending on the length of the course. During which a student has to find a NOC category job and file for permanent residency if desires to. So, for international students losing even a month or two on their pgwg is a big deal.

This petition is for those students/workers who have lost their jobs and are asking the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to extend those couple months in their work permits as they will be running out of time otherwise.  

If you think international students deserve the pgwp extension, please sign this petition before many are faced to go home unwillingly.
