Scan the recently found original 1989 NASCAR Cup car from Ireland
The Issue
Lets get to the point. We simracers have been asking forever for a late 80's, early 90's NASCAR Cup car to drive in your simulation. There was a recent article, I'm sure you've seen it, where there was recently a 1989 Chevrolet Lumina that was discovered at Ireland’s Mondello Park International Race Circuit. The article itself can be found here.
If you haven't read the article yet there are a few things to note:
- Its chassis is built by and purchased from Dale Earnhardt Inc
- Its engine is a Richard Childress Racing motor
- It still has its original tires
- Besides a few scuff marks, it's in "pristine" condition
- It's branded as a generic car. You don't have to wrestle with license's (from what I understand)
We all know you're looking for the next biggest thing to bring to the circuit, which is why I created this petition. The next biggest thing has been discovered and it's up to you to take advantage of this.
Not only would you be bringing on a car that is in high demand for your service, you would be preserving a piece of history with this. Day by day these cars are becoming harder to come by, and we have an opportunity right now to capture that era of motorsports with this car.
If people were able to generate enough commotion regarding the Super Late Model, we surely will be able to generate the same, if not more, regarding this beautiful car.
What's in it for you iRacing? Simple.
- Money. You know this will quickly become one of the most popular cars on your service
- Exposure. This story about the car spread fast. Think about how many people will be talking about iRacing going out and scanning it.
- And lets be real. How do you attract new members to your service? Be the only simulation that can offer the most accurate 1989 Cup car in the market.
- This is just me thinking here, but maybe you can even work out a deal with the track itself to bring it on to your service as well. Maybe a deal could be made with them!
By signing this petition you are making a vow that if iRacing were to scan and release this car, you would purchase it and use it on their service. You are giving your voice and support to say that there is demand for this, and the perfect moment to capture it is now.
Please join me and show your support. Thank you for reading, and thank you to iRacing for providing this excellent service to begin with.
