On the 29/01/2017 a very close family friend decided to take his life by using this flying fox as his tool. I think it is in bad taste that the council has left the chain when it can easily be used again as such a tool. His family who live close to the park have to drive passed it every day and remember the aweful thing that happened there. I think in support of family and friends that have been affected it should be made into a straight pole instead of a chain
