Petition updateSuspend and review the £3.6 million changes to the Ipswich Cornhill
"What four features of Ipswich life would you like to see recorded on the Cornhill?"

In a desperate effort to ascribe spurious meaning to the proposed green granite monoliths, David Ellesmere & IBC have launched a competition between 15 new changes to the planned monoliths. Four winning changes are to be voted for by the people of Ipswich in a new online poll.
This is because IBC know the monoliths are meaningless, and they know we know the monoliths are meaningless. The poll has not got off to a great start, as the link in the Ipswich Star article is null. What do you think the chances are of more than 4000 people, the number petitioning against them, will participate in this new poll?
It appears that they're making it up as they go along, as nobody wanted the green monoliths in the first place! This open call to ascribe meaning to them just shows how correct we were, when we said they had no meaning to Ipswich town or it’s people in the petition.
"Ipswich has a fantastic history and we wanted to recognise that…”
If David Ellesmere and IBC really cared about the history of our town, they wouldn’t be blighting it with this £3.6 million aberration in the first place. No more monoliths, a simple re-paving with some trees and maybe some benches are all that is required, and would assuredly cost much, much less.
Please keep on 'liking' and 'sharing' the petition. Thank you all for your support so far. I will continue to endeavour to make sure you voices continue to be heard.
