Last year a limited CBD only bill was passed and has been completely ineffective. This week we have a chance to fix that problem and expand upon it so those it was meant to be helped can be, and many many more. 

You can neither produce, nor purchase the oil meant to benefit those 30,000 Iowans with the "rare" and intractable type of epilepsy it was meant to help. This law is a farce and it benefits no one, especially those that are sick and in need(those that it was designed to help)

It is time to push politics aside and put patients first. This bill will help benefit more patients that many in the medical field have proven already would benefit greatly from medical cannabis. People with cancer, multiple sclerosis, AIDS/HIV, glaucoma, Hepatitis C, Crohn’s Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and chronic pain resulting from an underlying medical condition.

This is a safe program and one of the most comprehensive we have seen come out of Iowa's statehouse to date.

This week is pivotal as it goes to the floor for debate and we as both Iowans and patients must take a stand. The republican majority has stated they aren't going to take this bill seriously, we must let them know this is a serious issue.
