Justice for Jackson 2020

The Issue

I'm hoping to get some exposure and truth on this story for Jackson.

On May 1st a horrible thing happened to a beautiful dog that didn't deserve to be killed the way it was. This has been the town dog for a year, Jackson was a beautiful husky. On May 1st a girl had taken 8hrs and she was finally able to have connection with Jackson in her yard. Jackson was a dog that didn't want anyone on either side or behind him, it scared him and he'd run off. And seeing the pic of her with Jackson and his head down looking like relieved to have that trusting bond at that moment. Not many hours later Jackson was man handled, rope on his neck and dragged into a kennel where he was scared and thrashed until he broke his neck and had internal bleeding and later had to be put down.
I don't know the year timeline or how he came to be loose in maquoketa, when he clearly had an owner which you'll see that further down, being chased by 4 wheelers, hit by a car and it goes on and on. I thought the issue would be no one owning Jackson and why it wasn't being handled or investigated however she's now claimed it and it was flea infested and ticks and she's complaining about the town people not taking care of him. Not caring, not helping. Who takes in an animal and expects the town to take care of it through Iowa winter snow storms, summer heat, storms, let alone the taunting and chasing then to end his life in an even more scared and inhumane way. It's disgusting. No one has come forward and admitted accident or intentional. With the absence of that it seems like intent to harm and injure was in mind. PLEASE HELP GIVE JACKSON A VOICE, NOT ONE ANIMAL DESERVES THAT. IF YOU HAVE PETS AT HOME AND IT HAPPENED TO YOURS.... WHAT WOULD YOU DO? IS IT BECAUSE OF THE NAMES INVOLVED IT'S NOT LOOKED INTO OR CHARGES PLACED ON ANYONE? DEATH THREATS FROM ONE SIDE TO OTHERS WANTING TO ASK AND FIND OUT THESE VERY THINGS AND THE TRUTH.

JACKSON DESERVES THE TRUTH SO STAND UP FOR HIM OR IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN TO OTHER ANIMALS KNOWING THERE IS NO REPERCUSSIONS AT ALL FOR KILLING AN ANIMAL, CRUELTY TO AN ANIMAL, INTERFERING WITH FINDING THE TRUTH WITH LIES ABOUT THE VET BEING THERE!!! WHERE'S THE ANSWERS? IF THE OWNER IS ASKING ALL OF THE TOWN WHY THEY DIDN'T HELP WHEN NEEDED THEY ARE NOW ASKING WHY THEIR TOWN DOG HAD TO DIE LIKE THAT AND WHO DID IT AND THEY DESERVE TO BE TREATED JUST AS IF IT WAS ANY OTHER RESIDENT IN TOWN WHO MAY BE LESS FAVORABLE. WOULD IT GO SILENTLY UNDER THE RUG FOR EVERYONE?

PLEASE IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING. DON'T BE AFRAID TO STAND UP. EMAIL jacksonsangelia@gmail.com IF YOU WANT TO SAY SOMETHING, IT CAN BE ANONYMOUS AND NO NAME MENTIONED. IT'S BEEN REPORTED TO MANY GROUPS AND IOWA REPRESENTATIVES AND ALL THAT'S NEEDED IS ONE PERSON TO SEE JACKSON, READ THE STORY, AND WANT TO BE SURE THIS ISN'T GOING TO EVER HAPPEN AGAIN TO ANY ANIMAL IN THIS TOWN.

A PETITION WILL BE HERE LATER. FUNDS ARE BEING RAISED TO PAY VET BILLS AND CARE HOWEVER IT'S BEEN TOLD THOSE WERE PAID BY THE PARTY RESPONSIBLE FOR JACKSON'S DEATH. MOVING FORWARD AND HAVING GOOD MEMORIES WOULD BE NICE. GOING FORWARD KNOWING JACKSON GOT JUSTICE AND THE PERSON WHO KILLED HIM ISN'T WALKING FREE TO DO IT AGAIN WOULD BE EVEN NICER.

Said on the scanner page by carrie fadale, she admitted to owning the dog and knew of it being neglected:

"I am only going to say this once. So for those of you sitting in the back row, please listen up.

"Jackson" as you called him was surrendered to me. Therefore making him my dog.

As I said in my previous post, my and others intentions, we're not to hurt this beautiful creature.

He was loved by many, he was fed by many. But there were very few that were willing to try to help get him off the streets and to safety.

From my perspective, the people of Maquoketa wanted "Jackson" to be the town mascot. People enjoyed seeing him come and go from their yard. People enjoyed feeding him and seeking the occasional pet. Trust me, I of all people understand this.

But did the people of Maquoketa enjoy or care when he was hit by a vehicle, enduring pain and limping around for weeks without treatment?

Did the people of Maquoketa enjoy it when he was chased by 4 wheelers running scared?

Did you enjoy watching him chew and scratch himself, as I would watch him, more than likely because he was infested with fleas?

Did you think of the possibility that he could have heartworm disease? And these worms are slowly taking over his heart?

Did you think about Lyme disease?

Did you think about the possibility of another bite? I about my not the only one- things you may have not known about "Jackson"

I could go on and on about this.

Just because a dog looks "healthy" doesn't mean they are. He was being fed a lot.

The point is, he needed help.

And no I ever was helping.

No one but a lady and now a vet that had NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING to do with it. The name should not have even of been mentioned!

Details of that night are not your business. This dog was surrendered to me.

We tried and failed.

We are grieving hard also.

Remember him as you do. He lives in your hearts, not as that night.

And again, if you need someone to blame, HERE I AM!"

----------‐-----------------------------------------

What I know for sure is that the dog was killed inhumanely last week. The dog roamed free for a year with the town feeding him, watching him, and it was something that was a town thing. The urgency to get this husky that night is still on people's minds. The reason his life was ended with a broken neck and internal injuries by having a rope around it's neck to be dragged into the kennel thrashing and fighting so hard neighbors could hear is really weighing on people why no one is being held responsible and the cops doing nothing, humane society nothing but saying they weren't part of it. There is a husky rescue to the north of maquoketa in lamotte and one to the south in Davenport. Why weren't they called to help this dog? The vet is being accused of wrong doing however saying they weren't there. The truth needs to come out and justice done for Jackson. Please don't let this go.This needs investigated to the fullest extent above and beyond the sheriff and police so something gets done. This poor beautiful dog deserves it.
