We would like the Iowa DNR adopt a waterfowl season & zone structure that follows the Cedar, Iowa and a portion of the Mississippi river valley. Here is the proposed map of said area and it would be incorporated into the Mo. River Late zone unit with said latest dates allowed. There are major populations of waterfowl that winter along these river valleys as they transition from shallow water fall habitat up north into early wintering habitat along these major river systems in the south. Please attend the Iowa DNR listening sessions and email or call Orrin Jones to respectfully request later waterfowl hunting dates for the south zone/river zone of Iowa
