Less than two hours ago, IO Interactive has released a statement on Twitter saying: "we guarantee that players will NOT need to repurchase the games".

Looks like that after a weekend of protesting by PC Gamers all around the internet, IO Interactive is reconsidering their strategy. They already updated their Pre-Launch Guide accordingly: https://www.ioi.dk/hitman-3-pre-launch-guide/

We'll see how this develops, it is however seemingly made clear that the levels will not be available on release day.
