The United Nations is not the place where the plight of the Rohingya will be solved.

The remedy to Rohingya suffering, the injustice they have endured for decades, the genocide they have survived, will only occur in the hearts of people in countries like Canada, people who pressure their governments to act rather than just mouth meaningless words that have no effect.

If the worlld's response to the Rohingya is any indication, if the Holocaust were happening today, the response of the West would have been no different than the response to the Rohingya, i.e. millions would still have been killed in a genocide.

It is people and not governments that create meaningful social change.

It's time for the people to rise up.
