Petition updateINVOKE THE GENOCIDE CONVENTION AGAINST MYANMAR FOR THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE!CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON PARLIAMENT HILL - Thursday, Sept. 28th @ 7:00 pm

You are invited to join me and other Canadians who are speaking out to express deep concern about reports of ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity and genocide by government forces in Myanmar directed at the Rohingya -- a people the United Nations has called "the most persecuted minority in the world."
While there have been many words spoken by political leaders expressing "concern" and "disappointment" about the situation in Myanmar and the massive humanitarian crisis in neighbouring Bangladesh, very little concrete action has been taken to protect the Rohingya, save lives on the ground, and help the approximately 500,000 Rohingya refugees who have fled to Bangladesh (itself an impoverished country) and are languishing in refugee camps without food, without clean water or sanitation facilities, or a means to make a living.
So join me on Parliament Hill in Ottawa this coming Thursday for a candlelight vigil. Bring your candles and your signs as we send a strong but quiet message to the Canadian government and call on them to take decisive action.
EVENT: "The Forgotten Ones" - A CAndlelight Vigil for Rohingyas
DATE: Thursday, Sept. 28th
TIME: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
