Imagine being a 19 year old boy, you meet a girl on social media and y'all decide to meet up. This scenario is typical of today's youth and very innocent. In most cases it never turns out to be life a changing event. On December 18, 2017 Marquise Foster was wrongfully accused of criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping of a young lady he had just met on social media.They made plans to meet up and he was invited over to her parents house to pick her up. They were going back to his residence to hang out. Once she got into the car ,she begin to touch him and grope his private parts and he told her to stop because they were in the drive way of her parents house. He then proceeded to back out of the driveway, as they begin to drive up the street she asked if he had any marijuana. Once he told her maybe it was a little in the middle console and she found none she became irate, going through his glove compartment irrationally and aggressively. This young lady then begin hitting him causing him to run off the side with his car, she grabbed his phone and got out. She left her phone in the car which marquise dialed 911 with, while she stood outside screaming rape.The dispatcher asked Marquis to find a safe place in the area until help arrived. Once police arrived on the scene Marquise was placed in handcuffs and detained in the back of a police car for an hour while officers questioned the young lady. They then came back to the vehicle to let Marquise know he was being arrested for kidnapping and sexual assault. He was taken to the police station where he was disrespected and treated like a criminal without being him telling his side of the incident. He was booked and held on a 25,000 bond. Since he has been out on bond he has received numerous messages from his accuser. One that states "You dumb F#CK that's why I lied and had your dumb a## arrested (laughing emoji) I hope you rot in jail for something that you didn't do". This evidence was then taken to Spartanburg county jail where the officer made a record of it and put it in their case file. There have been more messages from the accuser that have been screen-shotted indicating that she fabricated the story. There was no DNA testing done on either the accused or the accuser. Marquise is facing up to 55 years in prison off of a mistake to meet up with a girl he did not know. This is a common occurrence in today's youth although wrong in stupid, this mistake in judge of character should not cost him his life and future. the family and I are asking for charges to be dropped and charges to be filed against the accuser with all the evidence that shows she is a liar and fabricated this whole story. This incident has caused much pain and already tarnished the character of a young man who had plans to go into the military. I am asking that you sign this petition and stand with me against a common occurrence that happens in our community with our young men being accused of crimes they have not committed.
