真的非常感谢大家的努力，短短几天内已有超过3万的支持者。不仅有很多人留言，录下视频支持的也不少， 看了之后让我很感动。可见在这个案子上大多数人的看法和为朱令感到愤慨的心是一样的。为了朱令未到的正义，我们是团结的。

有很少一部分人质疑这个请愿的实际作用，根据我的了解，Change.Org的请愿是没有实际法律效应的，但绝对是展示民声的有利证据，不是徒劳。  第一，被指定的三位负责人（澳洲总理，移民部长和外交部长）可以选择直接回应。  第二，通过这个请愿能使更多人了解或想去了解这个案子，也能让更多人意识到孙维现在在澳洲和引起注意。第三，作为民意的证据在接下去与政府或其它机构如媒体的交涉中起到一定的辅助作用，对政府施加一定压力。最后，让孙维明白30年后我们依旧没有忘记，她在任何有华人的地方都是不受欢迎的。

这个请愿只是澳洲和全球华人在为朱令做的努力之一，同时进行的还有向澳洲国会申请请愿，要求调查税务等。在国会批准前，这是传达传播我们声音的最好方法。正如很多留言所说，这是为朱令也是为我们自己。

I want to thank everyone for supporting this petition. In just a few days, we have reached over 30,000 supporters regardless of the Christmas and New Year break. Not only have many people left comments, but there are also quite a few who have recorded videos in support. After reading and watching them, I’m deeply moved and honoured by your efforts.  It is evident that the majority of people share the same views on this case and feel the same grief and indignation for Zhu Ling. In the pursuit of justice for Zhu Ling, we stand united.

There is a small group of people questioning the practical impact of this petition. From my understanding, Change.org petitions do not have direct legal effects, but they definitely act as strong evidence showcasing public opinion.  Through this petition, the three designated decision makers (Australian Prime Minister, Minister for Immigration, and Minister for Foreign Affairs) can choose to respond directly. Secondly, this petition can help more people become aware of or interested in this case, raising awareness of Sun Wei's current situation in Australia. Thirdly, as evidence of public sentiment, it plays a certain supportive role in future negotiations with the government or other institutions, such as the media, exerting some pressure on the government. Lastly, it lets Sun Wei understand that even 30 years later, we haven't forgotten, and she is unwelcome anywhere with a Chinese presence.

This petition is just one of the efforts made by Australians and global Chinese for Zhu Ling. Simultaneously, there are ongoing efforts to petition the Australian Parliament, demanding investigations into tax matters, and etc. Until approval from the Parliament, this is the best way to convey and spread our voices. As many comments have stated, this is not only for Zhu Ling but also for ourselves.
