Investigate Wilmington Delaware Department of Labor

Investigate Wilmington Delaware Department of Labor
The Issue
My husband was unjustly terminated on August 13 of this year. It is now December 18, and despite our numerous attempts to contact the Department of Labor, there has been no word as to his appeal request. He requested the intervention of the Ombudsman, yet, just like the countless other emails he sent concerning his claim, not a single one was responded to.
We have faced immense frustration due to the Department's apparent gross incompetence and negligence. This situation is not only unjust, but it also highlights a severe failure in the service that the Department of Labor is meant to provide to the citizens of Wilmington, Delaware. Their bias and dereliction of duties have left us questioning the integrity and reliability of an institution that should be a pillar of support for workers facing injustices in employment.
The inefficiency demonstrated by the Department of Labor affects not just us, but countless others who may be similarly struggling with appeals or claims that have been ignored. The Department’s role is crucial in ensuring fair practices and justice in employment situations, yet these efforts seem to be undermined by their lack of response and accountability.
To ensure that our justice system remains fair and accountable, it is imperative that the Wilmington Delaware Department of Labor is thoroughly investigated for their severe lack of responsiveness and action. An independent investigation into their processes and practices should be conducted to identify where improvements are urgently needed, to ensure that similar instances of negligence and incompetence do not continue to occur.
We call on the relevant authorities to undertake this investigation and hold the Wilmington Delaware Department of Labor accountable for their shortcomings. Please sign this petition to support our cause for justice and accountability in the handling of employment disputes. Together, we can advocate for a system that reliably upholds the rights and fair treatment of employees across Wilmington, Delaware.
