Investigate The Resilient Jenkins - Neglected children are not "Content"
The Issue
PETITION TO INVESTIGATE CHILD NEGLECT AND EXPLOITATION ON TIKTOK/ SOCIAL MEDIA
Summary of Concerns
Numerous videos posted publicly show children in unsafe living conditions, lacking proper hygiene, clothing, emotional support, and basic necessities.
Stephanie Thompson has allegedly neglected her children for tiktok and social media content, used funds gained from social media engagement irresponsibly, and has documented evictions and unstable housing while continuing to post monetized content featuring her children.
There is suspected substance use, paraphernalia has been seen in her content which is accessible to children, which may be contributing to the continued neglect and unsafe conditions. There have allegedly been videos of her insinuating drug use while pregnant.
The content is used for profit, exploiting the children’s suffering and weaponizing public outrage as engagement to fund the creator’s lifestyle, with no clear evidence that the children benefit from any of it.
CPS Inaction:
Despite multiple calls and reports to Oregon CPS (DHS), there appears to be no meaningful intervention, and the situation has only worsened. The platform’s monetization of this content adds another layer of urgency, as child exploitation continues with public visibility.
Our Demands:
1. A full investigation by DHS into the living conditions and care of the children.
2. A review by the Oregon Attorney General into whether this constitutes digital child exploitation.
3. A report to TikTok demanding an account review for minor endangerment, exploitation, and TOS violations.
4. Support for any responsible family member (such as the grandmother) who may seek legal custody or guardianship.
These children deserve safety, dignity, and protection.
Their pain should not be entertainment or a paycheck. We ask for swift action to ensure that TikTok does not become a safe haven for exploiting children for profit.
