During my time of employment in the Assessor's Office I witnessed and was instructed to perform an alarming amount of fraud and mismanagement within the Monroe County Assessor's Office that involved multiple Indiana State Code violations. As concerned citizens, we believe it is imperative that these allegations are thoroughly investigated to ensure accountability and restore trust in our local government institutions.

The Monroe County Assessor's Office holds the responsibility for determining the value of properties for tax purposes. However, numerous reports have surfaced indicating that there may be fraudulent activities affecting the fairness and accuracy of these assessments. A transparent investigation is necessary to examine the extent of any misconduct and to implement corrective measures.

These discrepancies not only result in unfair taxation but may also suggest a deeper issue of systemic corruption or negligence within the Assessor's Office. Without proper oversight and investigation, many residents may continue to face unjust financial burdens.
