Investigate the LAWFARE on WOMEN by the FBI, DOJ, BOP & IRS.
The Issue
Petition: Investigate the Systematic Targeting and Weaponization of American People by the FBI, DOJ, BOP, and IRS Through Lawfare.
We, the undersigned, urge Congress and the Senate to launch a full investigation into the politicization, abuse of power, and misconduct by the FBI, DOJ, BOP, and IRS that have led to the wrongful convictions of countless Americans. Lawfare—the weaponization of the legal system to silence, control, and destroy lives—has disproportionately impacted American people, particularly those who speak out against corruption and injustice.
Dr. Carmen Johnson: A Relentless Voice for Justice, a community leader, and justice advocate, was wrongfully convicted following several federal raids in 2011. Her trial in 2015 was marred by prosecutorial overreach, false accusations, and political targeting—she was even labeled a “terrorist” in court, and her trial was abruptly cut short. She was sentenced to 54 months in prison and ordered to pay over $2 million in restitution for crimes she did not commit or benefit from. During her incarceration, she endured physical abuse, solitary confinement, and inhumane treatment.
Since her release in 2018, Carmen has emerged as a national leader in justice reform. As Co-Founder of Helping Ourselves to Transform (HOTT) and Director of Court Watch Judicial Accountability under Life After Release (LAR), she has led transformative efforts to support returning citizens, draft and advance critical legislation, and expose judicial misconduct. Her advocacy was instrumental in the passage of Maryland’s In-Custody Deaths Bill and the Maryland Fair Taxation for Justice Involved Individuals Act. She continues to push for federal tax reform and reentry justice. Carmen's current focus is on advocating for individuals who have been wrongfully convicted, unjustly charged, or targeted by governmental overreach and weaponization through "lawfare"—highlighting the urgent need to restore integrity and accountability within the justice system.
Her 2022 published book, The Pretense of Justice, unveils the harsh realities people face in a corrupt system that uses weaponization by lawfare that creates oppression of its own people. Her work has influenced academic curricula and inspired over 200 law students and future justice advocates across the country.
Despite living with the profound effects of PTSD, Carmen remains steadfast—not only in her pursuit of justice for herself, but also as an advocate for all Americans, with a particular focus on women and the injustices they face within the legal system. She calls on Congress and the Senate to investigate her case and other's cases where weaponization and lawfare has been used to unjustly target and incarcerate American People. Her story is not an anomaly—it is a reflection of a broader, deeply flawed system in urgent need of reform.
Sign the petition. Stand with Dr. Carmen Johnson. Demand an end to the weaponization of the legal system called "Lawfare", wrongful convictions, and systemic abuse of power against the American People, with a particular focus on WOMEN.
