Petition for an Independent Investigation into the Integrity of the FIFA World Cup 2026
To FIFA, the FIFA Ethics Committee, and the international football community:

We, the undersigned, respectfully call for an independent, transparent, and impartial investigation into several controversial events surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026 that have raised significant concerns among football fans worldwide regarding the integrity, independence, and fairness of the tournament.

The purpose of this petition is not to accuse any individual, team, or organization without evidence, but to ensure that football remains free from political, commercial, or other external influence and that every match is decided solely on sporting merit.

We request an independent review of the following matters:

• The circumstances surrounding the reported reversal or cancellation of a disciplinary decision following reports of communication between political leaders and senior FIFA officials.
• Whether FIFA's disciplinary bodies remained fully independent from political or external influence throughout the tournament.
• Whether any political, commercial, or organizational pressure may have affected decisions related to the World Cup.
• Whether disciplinary decisions and regulations were applied consistently and equally to all participating teams.
• Whether FIFA's internal governance, ethics procedures, and decision-making processes were fully respected during the competition.
• Whether any circumstances existed that could have compromised the sporting integrity of individual matches or the tournament as a whole.
• Many supporters have also expressed concerns regarding the events surrounding the World Cup Final and the unexpectedly poor performance of the defending champions. An unexpected result or an unusually weak performance does not constitute evidence of wrongdoing. However, when millions of supporters question the fairness of the competition, those concerns deserve an independent and transparent review in order to preserve public confidence in the sport.

To restore trust in international football, we respectfully request that FIFA:

• Appoint an independent investigative panel with no conflicts of interest.
• Publish the complete findings of the investigation together with the supporting evidence.
• Ensure full transparency regarding all controversial disciplinary decisions made during the tournament.
• Investigate any potential political, commercial, or external influence on FIFA's decision-making.
• Strengthen safeguards protecting future FIFA competitions from outside interference.
• Introduce governance reforms that improve transparency, accountability, and public confidence.

Football belongs to its supporters. The integrity of the world's greatest sporting competition must never be open to doubt.

We respectfully ask FIFA to take these concerns seriously and to demonstrate its commitment to fairness, transparency, and the principles of fair play by conducting an independent review of these matters.

Fair play must always be beyond question.
