Dear Ms Foo,
Thank you for acknowledging our initial communication on 7 March 2024. While we appreciate the Health Sciences Authority's (HSA) willingness to investigate the concerns raised, the growing urgency of these issues, underscored by recent developments and public anxiety, demands a clear and expedited review process. The absence of a defined timeframe not only undermines public confidence but also risks public health at a time when transparency and swift action are paramount.
As of 13 March, a public petition expressing these concerns has garnered 372 signatures, a testament to the public's demand for immediate and transparent action from the HSA. This substantial outcry underlines the HSA’s duty to act swiftly and decisively.
The introduction of Mobile Vaccination Booths and the emergence of new COVID-19 variants have heightened public anxiety. We expect the HSA to disclose the scientific basis and data underpinning the continued use of these vaccines, ensuring the public’s decisions are informed by the latest evidence.
We are particularly concerned about reports of potential DNA contamination and breaches in vaccine safety data. The legal and public health implications of failing to fully address these concerns are severe. The HSA must meet its obligations under the Health Products Act (HPA) and the Medicines Act, ensuring all health products comply with the highest safety and efficacy standards.
Given my role in managing public concerns, I seek a direct line of communication with a designated authority within the HSA. This will enable us to more effectively channel the public's voice and concerns, reinforcing the HSA's commitment to public welfare.
I wish to know whom within HSA can I direct public inquiries to? Managing these inquiries without official guidance has proven challenging, and it is imperative that the public has access to reliable and official communication channels for their concerns.
The health and safety of our citizens are at stake. We demand a detailed response that not only addresses our concerns but also outlines the actions being taken to uphold the integrity of our healthcare system. We expect a prompt response, indicative of the seriousness of these issues.
Kindly inform us of the expected timeline for your review process. The urgency of these matters cannot be overstated, and we urge the HSA to fulfill its legal and moral obligations to protect public health. Thank you for your Swift action.
