Investigate British Gas account anomalies that are causing hardship

The Issue

After having appalling customer service from British Gas with chat wait times. I found a Facebook Page, and realised I was a lucky one. I managed to leave BG to another supplier. The bills are high enough without the supplier creating even larger fictitious ones

There are significant software failures, erroneous bills and changing supplier is prevented due to them. British Gas has been upgrading its software. This company made £969million operating profit first half of 2023

The new three-year contract will see Fujitsu manage a portfolio of applications supporting British Gas’s residential and business customers. Under the terms of the contract Fujitsu will provide 365x24 application maintenance and support services. The same Fujitsu that supplied the software that created the start of the Post Office horrors

This needs investigating, by government and OFGEM needs to up its game.
