Dear [insert person/organization you are writing to]

I am writing to you today to request the investigation of American Addiction Centers and all their campuses throughout the United States for their failure to provide a safe treatment setting for people seeking help from addiction and other comorbid illnesses such as depression, anxiety and PTSD/OCD.     Too many people have been injured at their campuses like Anaceona Mejias, who was roofied by another person  at an AAC facility in River Oaks Treatment Center in Riverview, Florida.    The frequent use of fentanyl resulting in almost daily 9-1-1 calls is cause for alarm and an investigation-why would a treatment facility promising 24/7 care and monitoring allow for the use of drugs on campus? Clearly, there are not enough people invested in monitoring the security of the premises.    Patients are convinced to come to the facility with  promises of free flights and a 90 day sober guarantee, however some do not make it past one week.    Over 50 people have died at AAC treatment facilities, including Joe Nicolosi, Stone Galaway, Graeme Hill, and Marisel Sanchez along with many others.   The warning signs that were ignored  leading up to their tragic passing is unforgivable.    In many instances, staff did not realize what was going on until it was too late, despite other patients at the facility warning them and requesting help.   AAC has claimed bankruptcy yet they still operate, providing less than stellar care for people seeking help.   They should be shut down.    Why is the body brokering of patients continuing  to flourish behind the walls of these treatment centers  where people are injured and die?  They do not hire people with proper medical backgrounds let alone trauma-informed care.    The level of grief they have caused families, beyond the exorbitant cost of treatment, is horrifyingly sad and no amount of money from a lawsuit will make up for the absence of their loved ones.    We demand an investigation and for the shutdown of all AAC facilities so the death of future prospects/clients is avoided.    No more-enough is enough.

Sincerely,
