Growing up in Allen Parish, I always imagined the schools as places of safety, learning, and community support. Yet, under the leadership of Superintendent Brad Soileau, it feels as though these foundational ideals are being systematically eroded. I am one among many concerned parents, teachers, and community members who have witnessed firsthand the troubling incidents within our schools that are repeatedly ignored and blanketed in silence.

There have been numerous incidents over the past few years involving misconduct by teachers and improper interactions with students. These matters have not only been overlooked but in some instances, have been met with a severe lack of accountability. As a result, a pervasive culture of indifference and fear has spread among the district’s educators and young learners alike.

This atmosphere does not merely affect morale and trust among the district's staff and students; it also undermines our entire educational system's integrity. Reports have surfaced about retaliation against those who dare to voice their concerns, escalating hostilities, and creating an environment far from one where education flourishes.

We need transparency and truth, and an independent investigation is essential to accomplish this. We urge the Allen Parish School Board to hire an external investigator to thoroughly examine the conduct and decisions of Superintendent Brad Soileau. This investigation must be dedicated to understanding the magnitude of these incidents, identifying where accountability lapses have occurred, and recommending necessary corrective actions.
