We are calling on the governments of prominent cities in Silicon Valley such as San Jose, Palo Alto, Cupertino, Mountain View, etc. to allocate more funds for AI and Quantum Computing start-ups. Their investment can fill the gap where private investment falls short and can provide a solid base for technological progress that benefits all. However, we also understand the importance of proper regulation. Therefore, we propose that these cities form an organization dedicated to monitoring the companies who choose to avail of these city grants. Ensuring funds are invested in genuine R&D (Research and Development) endeavors can help these startups develop revolutionary technologies. Our aim is two-fold: to ensure Silicon Valley remains at the cutting-edge of tech innovation, while also holding companies accountable to their promise of R&D.
