Let’s keep the momentum going for better play in West Vancouver

Thank you for signing the petition for better playgrounds and play spaces in West Vancouver.

The response has made it clear that I’m not alone in thinking we can do better for children and families in our community. With the municipal election approaching, this is a real opportunity to keep the conversation going and ask our next Mayor and Council to think beyond replacing aging equipment as it "comes due".  

I’ve put together a short visual proposal, Spaces for Play, looking at where West Vancouver is today, what neighbouring communities are doing, and what a more thoughtful long-term playground strategy could look like. It includes neighbourhood playgrounds, larger destination spaces, places for older kids, school partnerships and outside funding opportunities.
