After COVID-19 our college has lack a since on community. Bring in a sweet loving librarian cat is great companionship for students and staff. Research has shown that the presence of a cat or any pet can significantly improve mood, increase social interaction, and reduce stress levels in humans (American Animal Hospital Association, 2016).

 A library cat can provide comfort to stressed students during exam periods, become a familiar and friendly face to staff, and overall become an emblem of our college unity.

We are fortunate to have a perfect candidate for this position in the form of Pigeon the cat. Our dedicated librarian, Tori Stanek, has been an invaluable member of our college community and has continuously gone above and beyond in her efforts to enhance the college experience for students and staff. Tori is the loving owner of Pigeon and has demonstrated exceptional care and responsibility in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our potential library cat.
