Dear friends and supporters,
Thank you to everyone who has signed and prayed for the introduction of the Traditional Latin Mass in Belize. Your faith and perseverance could make a real difference.
In recent weeks, we have taken a significant step forward. A formal letter has been sent to Church leadership — in Rome — outlining the spiritual needs of our faithful and the desire for reverent worship and stronger sacramental care. This includes the hope that a future bishop for Belize might welcome the Traditional Latin Mass as part of that renewal. A letter was sent back in March to the former Prefect of Dicastery for Bishops, Cardinal Prevost, who, 3 weeks later, became Pope Leo. Another letter has been sent to the newly installed Prefect, Archbishop Iannone, in September, and has been received.
The response so far has been one of quiet acknowledgment, and our prayers continue as Church leaders discern the next steps. Though progress in the Church often moves slowly, every prayer, every signature, and every voice raised in charity helps keep this cause alive.
What we ask now:
- Please continue praying for the clergy of Belize and for the appointment of a holy, faithful bishop.
- Share this petition with others — in parishes, WhatsApp groups, or among Catholic friends abroad.
- Offer a rosary or Mass intention for this mission’s success.
We move forward with patience and confidence, trusting that Our Lord will open the right doors at the right time.
