Last week, I found myself running down the platform as my train was delayed, only to miss the connecting bus and end up arriving late to work. My students were left waiting, and I faced yet another reminder of how limited our transport options are in Kapiti. If only scooters were available, I could have effortlessly made my way to work on time, avoiding unnecessary stress and disappointment.

The introduction of scooters in Kapiti could significantly enhance our local transportation landscape. Kapiti, known for its beautiful landscapes and vibrant communities, is currently underserved when it comes to versatile transportation options. While public transport serves its purpose, it often falls short in terms of reliability and coverage, especially during peak hours.

For instance, in cities like Wellington, Auckland, and Christchurch, scooters have become a staple, providing residents with the freedom to travel on their terms.
