My personal journey in the field of paleontology has led me to a startling and unfortunate reality - there exists a dearth of education at the Bachelor's and Master's level for paleontology in India. This is a field vastly under-represented, with very few opportunities for students interested in its study.

The situation in India stands in stark contrast to global trends where paleontology is a well-established academic discipline. Students across the globe are given the opportunity to study this field extensively, explore our ancient history, and contribute to scientific discovery. However, in India, we remain disassociated from these advancements.

The lack of higher education opportunities in paleology in India negatively affects the growth of our scientific community and deprives interested students of the opportunity to pursue their passion. Furthermore, it prevents Indian scholars from contributing to global knowledge and discoveries in this field.

For these reasons, we respectfully urge the Government of India to take necessary steps in introducing Bachelor's and Master's degree courses for paleontology. Let us bring the study of ancient life to the academic forefront and cultivate a new legion of paleontologists, who will put India on the global map of paleontological research.
