On March 18th, inTRANSitive was made aware of a TERF (Trans exclusionary radical feminist) workshop being hosted under the umbrella of OMNI. We asked the community to reach out to Executive Director Gladys Tiffany, as we thought as the ally she has claimed to be, she would surely understand the transphobic and trans misogyny in the workshop content and description. Rather than trying to listen to the community, Gladys Tiffany proceeded to defend the workshop and presenters while using transphobic language on the OMNI Open Forum page. 

On March 19th, inTRANSitive met with Gladys Tiffany, along with organizers of the Goddess Festival. During this meeting inTRANSitive founders tried to educate Gladys Tiffany on Transphobia and misogyny. For a two hour long period, Gladys Tiffany addressed Trans women as men, dismissed the victimization and alienation of Trans people, and referred to Trans people as "mutations". 

While inTRANSitive inTRANSitive has openly addressed these grievances, several community members have expressed their experiences with Gladys Tiffany specifically with addressing racial issues within the organization and her lack of desire to educate herself and organizational members. 

WE ASK OMNI, THAT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GLADYS TIFFANY, IMMEDIATELY STEP DOWN FROM THE POSITION AND ALLOW US TO BEGIN THE PROCESS OF REBUILDING TRUST WITH OMNI.
