Lo scorso 17 aprile è prematuramente scomparso, durante un’immersione subacquea, Lorenzo Borella, giovane fiorentino, biologo marino, ricercatore presso il programma Erasmus Tropimundo. Per quanti lo hanno conosciuto rimane il ricordo di un ragazzo generoso e molto amato, grande sportivo; un esempio di impegno giovanile per le nuove generazioni. Noi, insieme ai suoi amici e conoscenti, vorremmo che la sua pur breve vita non fosse relegata tra i molti e cari ricordi, ma che rimanesse un segno tangibile della sua presenza anche alle future generazioni che si affacceranno allo sport del calcio.

Per questo chiediamo all’Amministrazione comunale di Firenze di prendere in considerazione la possibilità di intitolare a sua memoria il campo Romagnoli B della Sancat, società sportiva in cui Lorenzo ha sempre brillantemente militato, per ricordarlo per sempre e portarlo ad esempio!

Last April 17 Lorenzo Borella is prematurely passed away during a diving. Born in Florence, he has been a young marine biologist and researcher at the Erasmus Tropimundo program. To those who knew him, he has been a generous guy and very loved and great sportsman, an example for the new generations. Along with his friends and acquaintances, we would like that his short life was not relegated to the many and cherished memories, but that it remained a tangible sign of his presence for future generations that will play the sport of soccer.

We urge the Mayor of Florence to consider the possibility to dedicate to his memory the field "Romagnoli B" of Sancat, the soccer team where Lorenzo has always played brilliantly, to remember him forever and be inspired by his example!
