Thank you again for signing the petition and standing together to seek help for Kitty and protect our community.

I wanted to share an important update: I was finally able to speak with the Public Administrator, Guardian, and Conservator (PAGC) office. They confirmed that the only way a conservatorship can be initiated is either through a physician’s recommendation or through law enforcement action. However, they believe this petition can be influential in encouraging officers to take a 5150 psychiatric hold more seriously, rather than simply clearing Kitty during a wellness check.

Law enforcement also advised that the most effective way to move forward is to document one of her episodes ideally when she arrives at a business or residence. In those moments, if we can keep her at the location until officers arrive, it increases the chances that they’ll intervene appropriately.

Let’s continue working together to get Kitty the help she needs and bring an end to the distress and harassment affecting so many in the community.
