We are disturbed by the GBC's resolution to incorrectly reopen a concluded 30 year issue pertaining to Lokanath Swami. He is 72 years old and has been continuously punished on several occasions for a perceived indiscretion that has been severely misconstrued.

The repeated resuscitation of the matter is a gross infringement on his human rights and an indictment on his dignity.  We call on the GBC to permanently close the issue. Lokanath Swami as a human being has the right to live in a safe environment free from blasphemy. Such repeated persecution and lack of decisiveness by the GBC especially as it is wrongful, unjust and jeopardizes the integrity of the Ultimate Managing Authority of ISKCON and consequently, the movement as a global organization. It also creates serious problems for the many thousands of his followers, friends and well-wishers worldwide. The GBC are influenced by social media on a matter that has compelling evidence to prove otherwise.

We see this as a smear campaign on a long standing monk with a history that speaks volumes. It is clear that the social media campaign is nothing but a vendetta against ISKCON GBC making Lokanath Swami a pawn is this outrageous game of thrones.
