Il problema
Siamo tutti cittadini del mondo, consapevoli che l'escalation attuale nel campo dei conflitti tra Russia e Ucraina, tra Israele e Palestina e le altre decine di conflitti nel mondo non porterà a nulla di buono per l'umanità e per il futuro dei nostri figli.
C'E' SEMPRE UN'ALTERNATIVA ALLA GUERRA!
Stiamo vivendo in un'epoca funestata da continue guerre, come se le tragedie dei due conflitti mondiali non abbiano insegnato niente al genere umano. Alle notizie quotidiane riguardanti la guerra in Ucraina si sono sovrapposte quelle della guerra in Palestina, ma non dobbiamo dimenticare che sono decine di conflitti in atto in tutto il mondo, che però non trovano risonanza sui principali mezzi di comunicazione.
Circa 355.000 - 378.000 persone muoiono ogni anno in conflitti armati, con il 90% di loro che sono civili secondo le stime del 'Human Rights Watch'.
Non possiamo accettare tutto questo: decine di migliaia di morti, tra cui migliaia di donne e bambini, città distrutte, intere nazioni devastate. Non possiamo inoltre vivere nel perenne timore che i conflitti si allarghino su scala mondiale. Che mondo lasceremo ai posteri? Che futuro stiamo costruendo per i nostri figli? Riteniamo che TUTTI I CITTADINI del MONDO, senza distinzione di nazione, di fede politica, di religione debbano fare tutti gli sforzi possibili per la pace tra le nazioni. Basta favorire le lobby dei produttori di armi! Basta anteporre gli interessi economici alla salvaguardia delle vite umane!
NO AL RAZZISMO, NO AI GENOCIDI, NO ALLA GUERRA. Sì invece al dialogo, alle trattative, a tutti gli sforzi di mediazione per risolvere le controversie tra i popoli.
SIAMO CONVINTI che LA STRAGRANDE MAGGIORANZA dell'UMANITA' VOGLIA LA PACE IMMEDIATA. PERTANTO CHIEDIAMO a GRAN VOCE IL CESSATE il FUOCO IMMEDIATO e l'AVVIO di TRATTATIVE di PACE. SIAMO CONTRO UNA POLITICA di INVIO di ARMI INDISCRIMINATO CHE NON FA ALTRO CHE PROLUNGARE LA DURATA dei VARI CONFLITTI ATTUALENTE in ATTO.
SIAMO CITTADINI del MONDO di OGNI PARTITO POLITICO e di OGNI CONFESSIONE RELIGIOSA e COME TALI CHIEDIAMO L'AVVIO di TRATTATIVE di PACE IMMEDIATE PER FERMARE in PRIMIS i CONFLITTI in UCRAINA e PALESTINA in APERTO CONTRASTO con LA POLITICA GUERRAFONDAIA ATTUALMENTE PRATICATA dai NOSTRI GOVERNI. SIAMO CONSAPEVOLI DELLA NOSTRA FORZA e DELLA NOSTRA SETE di PACE! LO DOBBIAMO ALL'UMANITA'. LO DOBBIAMO ai NOSTRI FIGLI. VI PREGHIAMO di FIRMARE e CONDIVIDERE!

Con questa petizione, facciamo appello ai leader mondiali, alle organizzazioni internazionali, alle personalità pubbliche e a ogni individuo consapevole: è tempo di impegnarsi per un'alternativa alla guerra. È tempo di impegnarci per soluzioni di pace, giustizia sociale, e per un futuro sicuro e dignitoso per tutti noi e per i nostri figli.

We are all citizens of the world, aware that the current escalation in the field of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, between Israel and Palestine and the other dozens of conflicts in the world will not bring anything good for humanity and for the future of our children.
THERE IS ALWAYS AN ALTERNATIVE TO WAR!
We are living in an era plagued by continuous wars, as if the tragedies of the two world wars had taught mankind nothing. The news regarding the war in Ukraine on a daily basis was overlapped with that of the war in Palestine, but we must not forget that there are dozens of conflicts taking place all over the world, which however do not find resonance in the main media.
Approximately 355,000 - 378,000 people die every year in armed conflicts, with 90% of them being civilians according to 'Human Rights Watch' estimates.
We cannot accept all this: tens of thousands of deaths, including thousands of women and children, cities destroyed, entire nations devastated. Furthermore, we cannot live in constant fear that conflicts will spread to a global scale. What world will we leave for posterity? What future are we building for our children? We believe that ALL CITIZENS of the WORLD, without distinction of nation, political faith or religion, must make all possible efforts for peace between nations. Stop favoring the arms manufacturers' lobbies! Stop putting economic interests before the protection of human lives!
NO TO RACISM, NO TO GENOCIDES, NO TO WAR.
Yes instead to dialogue, to negotiations, to all mediation efforts to resolve disputes between peoples.
WE ARE CONVINCED THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF HUMANITY WANTS IMMEDIATE PEACE. THEREFORE WE LOUDLY CALL FOR AN IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE and THE START OF PEACE NEGOTIATIONS. WE ARE AGAINST A POLICY OF INDISCRIMINATE SENDING OF WEAPONS WHICH DOES NOTHING BUT PROLONG THE DURATION OF THE VARIOUS CONFLICTS CURRENTLY ONGOING.
WE ARE CITIZENS OF THE WORLD of EVERY POLITICAL PARTY and EVERY RELIGIOUS CONFESSION and AS SUCH WE ASK FOR THE START OF IMMEDIATE PEACE NEGOTIATIONS TO STOP FIRST of all the CONFLICTS in UKRAINE and PALESTINE in OPEN CONTRAST with THE WAR POLICY CURRENTLY PRACTICED by OUR GOVERNMENTS. WE ARE AWARE OF OUR STRENGTH and OUR THIRST for PEACE! WE OWE IT TO HUMANITY. WE OWE IT TO OUR CHILDREN. PLEASE SIGN and SHARE!
