World Sailing proved to be an inadeguate organization to manage the sport of sailing. We are asking to dissolve it and to allow direct participation of global sailors in the decision for the sport.

In 2016 I anticipated the finn out of the olympics during my italian sailing federation presidency campaign when I introduced direct voting to avoid mismanagement of useless or corrupted committees. I did also call the need to organize the olympics of sailing like winter skiing in a separate event as limiting partecipation is not acceptable. Clearly the extremism of my view was not followed up, as a conseguence action took place and the expected materialized. Now the only wise call is to dissolve World Sailing and create a new method to manage the sport. The only method is technology with an online based system to vote decisions. I believe there is no alternative. I wonder if this time sailors will understand the magnitude of the circumstances.
