Singapore’s Circuit Breaker took the students of IFS (International French School), like all other students in the country, out of a classroom setting from April 8th onwards. While the children moved to HBL (Home Based Learning) during the Circuit Breaker, some of them transitioned to a new learning style better than others. Some children flourished in the new learning style, others fought against every moment of their lessons. It has not been an easy time for any family, especially those who have had to juggle working from home full-time while also trying to educate their children.

With the school summer holidays approaching, we would like IFS to offer a summer school option. We would like school to continue in some full-day form throughout July and August. None of us are currently allowed to go home to France (or elsewhere) as re-entry to Singapore is currently out of the question without special authorization so we would like to profit from the unexpected summer holiday plan of remaining here in Singapore by continuing our children’s learning experience at IFS.

We will pay for the children to stay in school for the summer. Please find a solution that allows IFS students the opportunity to continue their education on a full-time basis (or even half-day) for July and August so that parents can have a break and the children can continue enriching their knowledge base in a location that we have confidence in.
