Sometimes in the battle toward change.... and in this case with professional cycling's leadership - change requires a purging at the top. In any other business, politics or organization - the leadership of a group like this would have been fired years ago!
There are many articles that can be found on cyclingnews.com, velonews.com and others that continue to lead us to understand that the big issues are no longer just riders.. The entire UCI leadership is corrupt and should be purged.
Update: Now the independent counsel is being limited on the information they are being provide - this lack of transparency is nothing new - but frankly shocking given the potential loss of Olympic berths and further damage to OUR sport. I can just imagine that the shedders are working overtime at the UCI today.
The UCI is ONLY driven by money and now the lawsuit against Paul Kimmage ( http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/vaughters-defends-kimmage-ahead-of-uci-case) is an attempt to prevent other publication from digging to find truth by adding transparency to what has been covered up in the past by the UCI.
MONEY MONEY MONEY – In short - the decisions taken by UCI are only in the context of Money - Example: holding the World Championships in Qatar, a country with no cycling history and NO topographical attributes (hills, Mountains, etc.) of what would normally be part of a Worlds course is a shining example of: It’s about the money for McQuaid – Lets take back the sport.
- International Cycling Union - Aka the UCI
I just signed the following petition addressed to: International Cycling Union - Aka the UCI.
Remove Pat McQuaid and Hein Verbruggen from Cycling - FOREVER
Sometimes in the battle to make a change and in the case of professional cycling's overseer, a dramatic change the leadership must go. There are many articles that can be found on cyclingnews.com, velonews and others that continue to lead us to the point where, the issues are no longer with the "players" but now with the "Coaches" and owners.
The UCI is ONLY driven by money, the recent lawsuit against Paul Kimmage is an attempt to prevent other publication from exploring and adding transparency to what has been covered up in the past by the UCI.
The decision to hold World Championships in Qatar, which has NO topographical attributes that a Worlds course should look for, is a shining example of: It’s about the money!!!
