The organization calls for an independent investigation into the killing of protesters
It expresses its concern at the frequent reports of extrajudicial killings

The Arab Organization for Human Rights (AOHR) condemns the crimes of the use of live ammunition by the security forces to end the ongoing protests in Sudan for three weeks and the continued use of excessive force to disperse peaceful demonstrations despite individual incidents.
There is a big discrepancy between official and independent sources and the opposition in determining the number of deaths, which according to official sources about 20 dead, according to other sources of about 47 dead, while it is not possible to estimate the number of casualties of the wounded, and the estimates of the detainees are not less than 800 people.
While the official authorities announced their intention to investigate the incidents of the use of live ammunition by the security forces, which led to the deaths of demonstrators, it is a relative satisfaction. However, the continued death and injury of live ammunition undermines this satisfaction and doubles the demonstrations, which reached the level of almost complete civil disobedience in most states and Main cities.
The organization is deeply concerned about the violent official rhetoric that is working to intimidate the demonstrators despite the recognition of the legitimate reasons for the protest.
This concern is compounded by the statements attributed to former Sudanese Vice President Ali Osman Mahd Taha, who pointed to the existence of loyal brigades outside the official frameworks that can be active in stopping the demonstrations, followed by various reports about the mysterious killings and assassinations of demonstrators during the night marches in some states during The last two days.
The organization believes that the current government's experience does not support any hopes of positive interaction with the popular demands due, both in terms of its bleak human rights record over the past 30 years or to undermine the democratic structure and mechanisms that emerged following the 2005 South Peace Agreement, Secession in 2011, as well as evidence of grave violations and war crimes in various conflict zones throughout the country.
The events of the fall of 2013 from the deliberate killing of protesters in social protests using live bullets in the upper parts of the protesters' bodies calls on the organization to make an early warning about the possible repercussions of the current popular uprising and the growing reliance of the authorities on irregular forces to deal with the threats.
The organization calls on the authorities to immediately announce the acceptance of an independent and transparent investigation into the involvement of the United Nations in these events, the immediate release of detainees and ensuring freedom of demonstration, including allowing demonstrators to access the authorities' premises to hand over their legitimate demands.
