The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) are currently holding May 2021 Exams in Egypt, where in other countries in the same region, the exams have been cancelled and schools have switched to the non-exam route. This is unfair for various Reasons:

1- All countries in the middle east region have had their exams cancelled and Egypt is considered the higher education hub in the Middle East. It is unfair for only us to be examined, thus we should all be assessed the same way to ensure correct grade distribution.

2- Egyptian National Egyptian exams have been postponed till July. This is unfair to us, international baccalaureate students, as national school students will have more time to prepare for their final exams while we are disadvantaged.

3- The 3rd wave has just started and corona virus cases drastically increasing everyday. This puts the student's well-being and health in danger as the ministry of health has previously stated that the 3rd wave will be at its peak from the end of April and until mid May, which is exactly the time period when IB exams are taking place

To sum up, switching to the non-exam route will be the safest, most efficient, and fairest assessment route Egyptian IB students can take. We urge every affected IB student in Egypt to take part in this movement, in order for us to receive the grades we've been working extremely hard for and to keep our families and ourselves safe.
