Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Ghost Zone. That will soon be the sequence of planets in our Solar System for children born in the 2100s.

Planet Nine, the hypothetical and probably certain planet hiding behind Neptune, should be named after the Ghost Zone realm from Danny Phantom.

First of all, (almost) everyone likes Danny Phantom, right? So why should he and his show not be honored in astronomy - the school subject he liked the most?

Second of all, we know that Planet 9 does exist (even though we haven't properly "discovered" it yet) because of its gravity perturbing the dwarf planets and trans-Neptunian objects. It is a "ghost" or "phantom" planet (pun intended). And of course, way out there, it is very dark and almost invisible against the background stars - just like a creepy ghost from both Danny Phantom and popular culture and mythology.

Furthermore, despite his conservative Christian beliefs and controversies, I believe that Butch Hartman is a great man and animator, well known for his especially cute art style and moral lessons (here's an example on The Fairly OddParents: https://www.imdb.com/review/rw0707297/?ref_=tt_urv ). Other Nickelodeon shows already have their recognition (for example Spongebob Squarepants with Spongiforma squarepantsii), so I believe that Butch Hartman and his shows Danny Phantom and The Fairly OddParents should be given the respect, recognition, and honor they deserve - written among the stars and planets of space.

And yes, sorry to say this, but Danny Phantom is not coming back. But this will be the ultimate compensation for that (sad) fact.

So - let's name Planet Nine "Ghost Zone"!
