This story has sparked outrage to humanists and animal lovers all around the globe including myself. I am furious at the decision the keepers from the Cincinnati Zoo made in ending the life of a critically endangered species who had a name, his name was Harambe. The carelessness of one parent cost this animal his life. Now we aren't sure a tragedy like this might happen again in this zoo but judging by the actions they took how are we so sure these animals are safe? Why were they so quick to terminate him instead of searching for other means of assessing the situation? Why should his life have been ended because of a misfit parent? She should have been watching her kid. Now I'm not saying ones life had more value than the other but their quick thinking lead to many people doubting the rationality of the human race. These animals probably aren't fit anymore to live in the wild but this doesn't mean they cant be transferred to a safe haven for protection. Please, lets gather as many beautiful souls as we can to put an end to this. This animals death could not have been for nothing. He was trapped and caged against his will. He didn't deserve to die. Lets save these defenseless creatures.
