It would appear, by my informal count, Verity's faithful souls are wandering away faster than their soul winning practitioners can resupply. Last Sunday morning they had to bring in reinforcements (three guys) from Vacaville. Sunday evening there were twice as many parishioners as ushers. And on Wednesday evening's service, ushers and parishioners were just about dead even and children outnumbered all ushers and parishioners, combined. I would estimate their current (past three weeks) average attendance to be 13 parishioners, 7 ushers, Deacon Matt Stucky, Pastor Roger Jimenez and anywhere between 15 and 20 children. They don't appear to enjoy it when protesters call them by their names. For example, Alessandro Chiappetta, their musical director (and the dude who referred to a protester as "Aunt Jemima-looking") and his wife, Jahzielle -- they haven't returned since I called them by their names. That was Sunday before last. Maybe they're on vacation. Or maybe the best cure for hate is fear of public exposure. In any case, the protests will continue -- twice on Sundays and Wednesday evenings -- and, although I will be out of town, it is my understanding there is a large protest planned for the end of July, beginning of August, during Verity's "red hot preaching" hatefest.
