Their 10 AM session ends around 11:30 AM. Their 6 PM session ends around 7 PM. Please do not block the doorway or impede the ingress or egress of anyone attempting to enter or leave their "church" -- not that this has ever happened, because it absolutely never has -- because the Sheriff's Department were clear on this point: If we are not blocking their doorway, they have no reason to pretend they need to call the Sheriff's Department. It is legal to stand on their porch when they are all inside, but don't do it. All they will do is snap a picture that makes it look like you're blocking their doorway. It is legal to stand on their sidewalk when they are all inside, but don't do it. It gives the impression, in a still photo, that we are doing something we have never done, which is block their ingress or egress. We are absolutely allowed to walk through the parking lot talking to them as they come and go -- but please remain at least an arm's length from the bigoted hatemongers -- not that any protester has ever approached one of them closer than that distance. Yes, we have been pushed. Yes, we have been physically blocked. And yes, both of these are forms of simple assault for which we have chosen to not press charges -- but, in my opinion, we should now document and press charges against everything illegal. Two arm's length is a good distance, not only because they are now bringing weapons and the likelihood they will use them increases as their frustration level increases, but also because this will give their "ushers" no cause to touch or impede our movements (again, both entirely illegal and they do it every week). If any of the bigoted hatemongers touch you or impede your movement in any way, including blocking you with their bodies or verbally threatening you -- and you feel you are in imminent danger (which, because they are armed, you may be) you are absolutely allowed to defend yourself -- the law is clear on this point -- but the best course of action is to not engage in violence of any kind. Could Spencer, Bishoy and Darcy have knocked out teeth when they were each pushed? Yes. Could I have smashed Matt's face into pulp when he blocked me? Yes. But why allow a Nazi to script your narrative for you? Why spill their blood and create the potential for misinterpretation? These people are scum and they deserve shame, but hurting them will bring pity, and they don't deserve that. The best course is to have a third party running video and then, at the end of the day, tally up the offenses and press charges against the guilty. Their habit of capturing video one foot from your face as they are assaulting you will never help their cause -- our habit of capturing video from ten feet away which clearly shows them doing the opposite of what they tell the police? Very effective -- it worked wonders last Wednesday night, that's for sure. And they all hung their heads in shame and slunk off into the night. A far cry from their typically proud, slur-spewing departures. Remember: These people are all ignorant losers and cowards, all potential murderers, several of them appear to be bald-faced liars, and they are reading this update. There is no sense to be found in beating them bloody -- even if it would feel good -- and there is no reason to make these people appear to be victimized martyrs instead of hate-filled aggressors -- even if there is a legal justification. Much better (for all parties) to send this trash to jail to be fingerprinted and placed in a holding cell with potential Sodomites before being released with court dates -- the fines, alone, will do more to speed their exodus than making them bleed ever could. Most of these folks are unable to afford two sets of Sunday Go To Meeting clothes -- I seriously doubt they can throw down $1000 each count for multiple counts of assault -- and I'd be willing to bet at least three of them are either on parole or probation. And after the first conviction, they could be looking at 6 months in a jail cell for any subsequent convictions. So, again, despite having a legal right to do so, when they make physical contact or impede your movements -- and it is going to happen -- all we need to do is get video and press charges. That being said, I will be there with weapons. My weapons of choice are a bullhorn and a squirt gun. When any of them makes any physical contact or blocks the movement of a protester, they will get a bullhorn warning -- hopefully this will inspire one of us (looking at you Darcy, with that enormous phone camera of yours) to begin video -- and then the perp will get a wet crotch. At the end of the day, when the perp gets booked into county for processing prior to release on bail, they will do it looking like they peed in their pants. And yes, I checked: If it's done as a response to their unlawful contact or harassment, with adequate warning, and in self-defense or as an attempt to protect someone else -- and if it's done using a non-caustic liquid such as plain water (which it will be) -- it's defensible.
