On February 13th, 2016 at 1:49 am Yvonne Rosado was woke up to a commotion outside of her door by Officer Ruben Cuesta looking for someone in a domestic violence call when she opened her door, Her dog Spike, her 4 year old pitbull was able to sneak out into the hallway at which time Officer Ruben Cuesta shot Spike in the head as Yvonne Rosado was screaming he is friendly he is friendly. The whole sad episode was caught on tape, not only was Yvonne Rosado in the hallway but so was her 16 year old daughter, what would have happened if that bullet would have missed Spike and hit Yvonne Rosado or her 16 year old daughter? This officer is trigger happy and should not be a police officer he has no regard for public safety and if he can shoot a dog who died wagging his tail he can shoot an innocent person it is cops like this who end up shooting and killing innocent people. If we the animal advocates of the world don't come together to put an end to animal abuse like this against animals then why are we fighting the way we are. This was an innocent dog who was going to greet a cowardly cop who hid behind a wall. These cops have pepper spray that they carry for incidents like these, There just is no excuse for what Officer Ruben Cuesta did to Spike. We have been calling the 46th Precinct in the Bronx to demand Officer Ruben Cuesta be fired and charged for Spikes horrendous death but the people who answer the phones have started hanging up on callers, so we have had to resort to starting a petition to get him fired and charged for Spikes death. How is it fair that this man continues to be a cop when he committed a crime. He committed animal abuse Spike died wagging his tail at his family. Where is Spikes Justice he deserves Justice.
