All MacBook Airs and 13 inch MacBook Pros(and nearly all Retina MacBook Pros) lack dedicated graphics cards. This is a big problem when editing video or playing graphics-intensive games like StarCraft II and Galaxy on Fire 2. The only external Thunderbolt graphics card enclosures which are currently available are over $400, which makes them too expensive for practicality. $200-250 is the perfect price point for something like this. MSI was working on their own eGPU, but stopped because Apple wouldn't support it. Silverstone was working on the T004, but was forbidden by Intel to sell it. They tried to rectify this by co-branding with Asus, who has already started selling a Thunderbolt product, but that didn't help. Now, it's called the Asus SG Station 2. Intel refuses to give Silverstone the proper licensing/certification, and as a result, Silverstone and Asus still cannot sell the T004/XG Station 2. The same is true of Villagetronic, which is unable to get certification and licensing for its 4th generation Vidock. This petition might show Intel how important it is that Silverstone and Asus be allowed to sell the XG Station 2 and that Villagetronics be allowed to sell the 4th generation Vidock.
