The crosswalks on 102 Ave at 242b and 244 street are both poorly lit with limited visibility. Drivers are going too fast causing many accidents as well as near misses. Traffic calming measures are needed:
1) speed humps before and after each crosswalk
2) raised crosswalks
3) speed cushions
4) brighter lighting
5) reduced speed limit
6) increased sidewalks.

I will be emailing the Maple Ridge City Council as well as The Engineering Department with the details of this petition hopefully accompanied by letters of support from both the Albion Elementary PAC as well as the SRT PAC and I will post an update soon with that information.
I plan to also reach out to BC Hydro, TransLink, RCMP, DPAC, Local businesses and the appropriate Trustees to raise further awareness and ask for additional support.
Once again, thank you everyone for signing and sharing this petition.
Christina Holland
