Vero Beach is a bustling community that continues to grow with each passing year. As a resident or visitor, you might have noticed the increasing traffic in various neighborhoods, particularly in the Royal Park area. This area is frequently used as a shortcut by many drivers, some of whom drive at unsafe speeds, endangering pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists.

To address this concern and enhance public safety, we propose installing stop signs at key intersections in the Royal Park area: on 10th Ave and Royal Palm Blvd, going east and west; on Royal Palm Place, going east and west; and at the intersection of Country Club and Leon. These new stop signs will serve as a deterrent to speeding and ensure a safer environment for everyone who lives, works, and travels through these roads. 

Implementing these traffic calming measures will not only protect our community but also improve the quality of life for all its residents. Studies have shown that stop signs are an effective tool in reducing vehicle speeds and accidents in residential areas. According to the Institute of Transportation Engineers, installing stop signs at strategic locations can reduce the likelihood of accidents by up to 60%.
