As a resident of Colesburg and founder of Colesburg RISE, traffic safety is very personal to me. Our community has witnessed vehicles speeding through Colesburg Road far too often, and sadly there have been incidents involving children and pets being struck by vehicles.

Colesburg is our home. It is a place where families live, children play, neighbors walk, and community members gather. No one should have to worry about speeding traffic putting their loved ones at risk.

We are asking Hardin County officials to consider installing speed humps and other traffic-calming measures on Colesburg Road to help slow traffic and improve safety. Speed humps are an effective way to encourage drivers to reduce their speed while still allowing normal access for residents and emergency vehicles.

This petition is not about placing blame. It is about working together to make our community safer before another accident occurs.
