Here’s what’s happened so far: I have personally reached out via email to multiple city officials and departments, including but not limited to- Pasadena Major, City Council representatives, Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Public Works / Traffic Engineering. This petition has also been shared by local news outlet “Grizzy Hood News” in support of our cause. These messages detailed ongoing speeding issues, safety risks to residents and children, and the community’s request for speed bumps as a traffic-calming solution. I have also put in a formal request for a traffic study to be completed to gather data. This data will help when presenting this petition in front of city council officials. This petition has been included as part of that outreach to demonstrate the level of neighborhood support behind this request. While responses and evaluations can take time, our concerns are now formally documented and in the hands of the appropriate decision-makers. Every signature strengthens this effort and helps show that this is not just one household’s concern, but a community-wide safety issue.
