Numerous accidents have occurred on Wardend Road, as recently as September 6th. In May, a young man tragically lost his life at the junction of Wardend Road. Drivers have been using these roads as race tracks, spinning around in laps and competing to see how fast they can go, endangering everyone in the vicinity. The school nearby has witnessed multiple incidents where reckless drivers performed 360-degree maneuvers, losing control and smashing into the school's railings. This is not just a threat to property but a danger to our beloved children, who are at risk every single school day.

Pets have also fallen victim to the carelessness of these speeding drivers.  Families living in the area constantly worry about the safety of their children and their animals. The danger is omnipresent, day and night, turning a peaceful neighborhood into a battleground of reckless driving.

Installing speed bumps on Wardend Road and Drews Lane is a simple yet effective solution to this problem. Speed bumps have been proven to reduce traffic speed and increase safety for both pedestrians and drivers. Having these measures in place would significantly decrease the likelihood of such tragic incidents happening again, bringing peace of mind to the entire community.
