My name is Srini Vallury, a resident of Nob Hill, Franklin Township, NJ. Lately, the safety and peace of my neighborhood have been overshadowed by increasing traffic and speeding vehicles. Specifically, on Magellan Way approaching Cartier Dr, while driving towards South Middlebush Road and approaching Marco Polo. 

Our Neighborhood is a residential community with a significantly high volume of both small children and elderly citizens. It is unacceptable that they should live in fear of crossing the street due to speeding automobiles. 

Speed bumps are a proven and effective method to control the speed of vehicles, they force drivers to slow down significantly, thereby safeguarding the lives of pedestrians. Several towns across the USA have adopted this solution with significant reductions in traffic accidents (Source: National Study on Speed Bumps, USA, 2019). We as a community urge our Township's Public Safety Officer to seriously consider this request for the safety of our residents. 

We often take safety for granted until something tragic occurs. A few years ago, an elderly woman in our neighboring development was tragically killed when she was hit by a car. I firmly believe this could have been prevented if speed bumps had been installed
