In our beloved neighborhood, safety has always been a top concern for residents and especially for parents raising young children. We've watched, day after day, as cars speed through our streets, disregarding speed limits and endangering the lives of those who live here. It's a distressing sight, as a single reckless driver can cause unimaginable harm in a matter of seconds. For many of us, this concern hits close to home, as we think about the safety of our children playing outside, riding their bikes, or even crossing the road to visit friends.

This recurring issue has had a profound impact on our community, with countless residents voicing their fears and frustrations over the years. Children should be able to play outside without fear, and families should rest easy knowing their neighborhood is a safe haven. We have a tight-knit community where everyone looks out for one another, but the danger speeders pose has become an uncontrollable risk that requires immediate action.

Speed bumps are a simple yet highly effective solution to reduce speeding. Studies consistently demonstrate that speed bumps can decrease speed significantly, often in the range of 20-25 mph depending on the location, ultimately reducing accidents and increasing safety for all. By installing speed bumps strategically throughout our neighborhood, we can curb aggressive driving habits and protect our community members from potential harm. 

We urge Rochester Estates Manufactured Home Community ( Lautrec Ltd) to  prioritize this safety measure and take the necessary steps to implement speed bumps on our streets. The cost of inaction is far too great, and every day without change is another day our neighborhood's safety is compromised.
